Local rock band Keokuk is bound to be a crowd favorite at the fair next weekend. Their songs are groovy, high energy, and most importantly- originals. Lead singer and guitar player for the group, Curtis Hendricks, is not afraid to tell it like it really is in his lyrics. The songs of the group reflect on the journey of everyday life- both the good parts and the bad.
This four piece features a mother son rhythm section- with Andrea Spencer on the drums and Zane Spencer on the bass. The head vocalist and guitar player is Curtis Hendricks, and Dominic Schaeffer is on the saxophone. With the saxophone adding a unique twist, Keokuk is not just the average rock band.
Koekuk will play on Sunday, October 8th from 2:30-3:30pm at the Historic Shaw Art Fair. Make sure to stop by on Sunday afternoon, as you will not want to miss the Koekuk experience!
