New dog park members, please download the PDF waiver right here, to drop off or mail to the SNIA Office, 2211 S. 39th Street, St. Louis, MO 63110 (please use the mail slot if the office is closed), along with a copy of your dog’s (or dogs’) rabies vaccination records. Or you can email them to snia@shawstlouis.org. You cannot be an active member of the dog park until this is completed. Once we have received both the waiver and the rabies record we will mail you the dog tag(s) and the code to the Shaw Dog Park. Your dog must be wearing the dog tag at all times when using the Dog Park. Thank you!

  • No vicious dogs allowed. All fights between dogs must be attended to by owners of the dogs
  • Children under 12 not allowed in fenced area, and children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult over 18.
  • Hours: Daily from 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.; be considerate of neighbors, unruly behavior is forbidden
  • Special hours for small/shy/senior dogs: Sundays from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m and Fridays from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
  • Owners are legally responsible for their dogs and any injuries or damage caused by them.
  • Dogs must have proof of rabies vaccination, or approved titers, from a veterinarian.
  • Pick up your dog’s poop! Please use the dumpsters in the alley north of the dog park.
  • Leash laws apply outside the fenced area.
  • Owners must be inside the fence area at all times while their dogs are at play. No dog is to be left at the dog park unattended – no exceptions!
  • Gates must be closed except when entering/exiting.
  • Dogs must wear membership tag on their collars.
  • Absolutely NO choke, pinch or spike collars allowed. Dogs must wear a smooth cloth band or leather collar while in dog play area.
  • Dogs to be under reasonable voice control.
  • Limit 3 dogs per person.
  • Do not leave any cigarette butts or trash at the dog park.

Not allowed in dog play area:

  • dogs in heat
  • vicious dogs
  • animals other than dogs
  • glass of any sort
  • puppies under 4 months old
  • dogs that are ill or injured
  • food or treats for people or dogs
  • alcohol
  • bikes, roller blades, scooters, or other motorized devices
